The following is a set of instructions for installing and updating Symantec Antivirus, which is the recommended program.

Running Symantec Antivirus

1. Restart your computer in Safe Mode
2. Open up Symantec Antivirus from the system tray
3. Under the Scan submenu select Full Scan
4. In the window select Options
5. Select Advanced
   • In the When scanning compressed files change the Expand option to 10 levels deep.
6. Go back to the Full Scan Options window and select Actions
   • Change the drop down menus to
     • First Action: Clean Risk
     • If first action fails: Quarantine Risk
   • Repeat for the categories: Macro Virus,Non-Macro Virus, Security Risks
