If there is no device listed under ipconfig, it indicates that there is a problem with the ethernet adapter.
If you are not receiving an IP address, follow these steps:
- Make sure that your network card is enabled
- Open the Control Panel
- Open Network Connections
- If any of the available devices say "Disabled," right-click on them and choose "Enable"
- Make sure that your network drivers are updated
- Open the Control Panel
- Open System
- Click on the Hardware tab, then open Device Manager
- If any of the listed items has a
next to them, call ResNet at 6-4087
